Ellis Law Office is a general practice law firm. Jim Ellis has a wide variety of legal experience, making him a well-rounded and knowledgeable trial attorney. Before going to law school, he worked as an administrative law judge for the State of Missouri, deciding unemployment claims. He graduated from law school and was licensed to practice law in Illinois in 1995. Jim was a prosecuting attorney for five years, trying cases from simple traffic tickets up to first-degree murder cases. For the last five years, he has been in private practice. He currently teaches criminal law and business law as a part-time adjunct faculty member for Southwestern Illinois College. Additionally, he teaches Legal Issues in Business Organizations as a part-time affiliate faculty member for St. Louis University.
